Yep, that is XV460.

I’m presuming that this is XV460, which is now with Everett’s at Bentwaters?:

I’ve just popped around to the local ATC where XV460 is… Well, I should say was as she’s gone. I’ve been told she was sold through MOD disposals to a private buyer! Most probably Jet Art or Everett Aero!

XV460 went to Everett

I was informed recently of an ATC unit disposing of a Gnome engine through disposals whilst a hundred miles down the road another unit has been trying to get hold of one!

Phantoms moving

Nice to hear of whole Phantoms on the move, not in skips, as has seemed to be the way for far too long.

Alas, too late for poor old XT852 at West Freugh – probably (hopefully?) the last needless loss, an end to the carnage which has gone on far too long:(

XV460 – possibly. Perhaps, like the ex-Leuchars example whose cockpit went to an ATC in Scotland and “found its way to a private owner” it is going likewise?

No doubt details will emerge fairly soon.
