Would anyone have manuals for the FG1 that could be borrowed/copied, that would be of use for wing separation, we are making progress on XT864 but are unsure if we are removing more than is required. Equally if there is anyone out there who has split a Phantom in the past we would appreciate any tips etc.

Taking the wing off a Phantom is a very difficult, costly and time-consuming exercise. The easiest way to shift a Phantom is to remove the outer wing panels and sit the aircraft on a low-loader with one wing up at an angle so that the width is within the legal limit. This will require a low-loader but you will need one for the task anyway.

Speak to crash and smash at Boscombe Down. They moved the Brampton example probably three years ago.
