Well, I don’t think anyone noticed, but on the other thread, I mentioned that I’m probably going to be leaving this board soon. My leaving is not soley based on the arguments as of late, although they did highlight one of the reasons I’m leaving if that makes any sense. I took a good look at the topics posted in the past several weeks and I’ve realized that about 60% of them are off-topic. I came here to learn more about military aviation, and in fact I was doing that for a long while, but I’m no longer getting the satisfaction from this board that I used to. The combination of off-topic posts, lack of interest in certain areas (nobody seems to want to branch out sometimes), anti-Phantom remarks, and general bickering has pushed me away. And finally, while I’ve learned a good bit, I don’t think I’ve taught anyone anything. I’ve seen that on the ACIG forum I have helped people to learn new things, and I enjoy that. Here, I don’t feel I’ve accomplished that. Nobody seems to take what I say as serious or true, and I feel that it is pointless for me to remain when that happens. I will possibly become an active poster again (if things improve) in the future, but for now I’ll be leaving. I want to thank many of those who’ve always been friendly to me (Dazza, eagle, seahawk, Jeuneturc007, to name just a few), and haven’t ignored Phantom related discussion, but rather, have taken part in them. For those who use the Airliner World and Flypast forums, I’ll still be there as well as on ACIG. This thread will be the last that I reply to on this board though.
