strange how the wife used to fly direct manila to LHR:confused: change at LHR to fly to Casablanca
😎

“used to” being the key phrase!

I think BA may have flown there many moons ago, but there certainly hasn’t been a non-stop link for quite some years.

EVA do fly direct to Taipei from LHR, via Bangkok.

I didn’t say otherwise… 😉

Kind of, they don’t fly there nonstop.

“Non-stop” and “direct” aren’t the same thing. :p

Nope, no direct flights between London and Manila.

There are a few other capitals in the region that aren’t linked as well: Hanoi, Taipei, Jakarta as well as many African and South American capitals too.

Yes president Gloria Macapagal of the Philippines is doing a European tour.

Shame there is no direct air link between the 2 countries.

Manila is not connected to London? There are not many world capitols that are not connected to London.

I can think of far cheaper places to go for Christmas shopping than London! 😮

It doesn’t seem to be an official State visit, so presumably an informal government delegation visiting London.

I can’t think of an obvious reason why though…

Its parking on Royal Suite (RS1) so I expect its a VIP visit. Maybe President or Prime Minister of the country?
