Photo Details Opinions

Hi everyone,

The site is full of fantastic photos taken from various events, the high standard that a lot of aspiring novices are trying to reach.

My thoughts are would people be willing when they post photos to mention the exposure and settings used. I’m sure this would help a lot of people.

Thoughts anyone.

Regards

Tony

All my images have the EXIF data intact, assuming you are using Firefox just right click on a photograph and choose properties, all will be revealed. For those on other browsers, just follow the link in my sig and choose ‘show EXIF’ in any of the photographs you are interested in.

Most of the images I (will) post to the forums are links to my gallery in the signature, where all the exposure parameters are visible – feel free to have a look 🙂

Hi Tony,

I am sure the details would be of interest to some, the attached was taken at Duxford in August on a very bright afternoon at about 1600Hrs using a 300mm lens, the camera was set for shutter priority at a speed of 500th of a second, the aperture was F14 and the ISO setting was 400.

I normally would have used an ISO setting of 200 or even 100 in light as bright as it was that day, but the 400 setting worked fine in this case!

Cheers

Eric
