As a talking point…
That shot really shows very well just how much drag the process of raising or lowering the gear can make.

To be honest the aerial shots by same photographer, same place, same style get a little bit dull in the end. It’s nice to experiment once in a while no?
Besides thats not photo of the year, it’s not one of mine π

Isn’t that what forums are for Grey Area! π
Maybe lighten up a bit, itβs only a suggestion. π
If there werenβt arguments/disagreements it would be quite a boring place.

I don’t need to lighten up, I just don’t see why all the photos of the week and what have you are years late…
And the big deal is? Steve obviously did not know this photo had been posted before, and even if it’s 50 years old what difference does that make to anything at all? people are just too picky, pick pick pick, gees  have you not got better things to do with your time?

Awesome shot you would think the airport dudes not to mention the airforce would let them circle in a light a/c like that!
As far as I know, there is a VFR lane/corridor along the coast they can fly along quite happily at x feet and take shots like these, they’re not buzzing around at their own free will playing chicken with departing aircraft. I know they do things differently in the USA but not THAT differently π

Its a very good picture, and it features in Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘I know you got soul’ book.

Nice shot, 1 question, How is a pic like that taken?
I think it’s like Sam Chui, they just fly around in a light plane around the airport so they can take any shot they want.
