Photo Report STN-TRF-STN/STN-ORK-DUB-STN

As reported in much better and greater detail in his own thread (http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=72311), Paul and I had a bit of a crazy Ryanair trip at the end of June consisting of two days flying.

The first day was Stansted – Oslo Torp – Stansted flying out on EI-DAR, and home on EI-DAC a few hours later. A few shots from this little trip are here:

After lunch in the terminal, it was then round to the other side to try and catch some of the STN action. Weather was awful, and so unfortunately Paul didn’t get to see totally what STN has to offer. However, we were blessed with 20 minutes of Sun and here is what I produced:

And the highlight of the evening, really lightening our mood from the day.

All superb, Dan. It’s nice to see what you came up with from our little trip, and it’s nice to see that shot of the Park Inn logojet as well! Good work mate!

Superb Dan! ORK has changed quite a bit since I was last there!!
Nice to see Torp in there too, thats one of the nicest airports i’ve been to, despite its size!

The inside of Cork’s new terminal doesn’t have look like the inside of Shannon. Almost identical in fact !

Cheers Adam! Well so far I’ve only managed 42 Ryanair registrations, so over half to go! That’s out of a total of 51 Ryanair flights.

Great post and photos Dan… you sure get about!

How many FR aircraft are you yet to fly on?

Cheers for the kind comments guys. I must admit, I am to very happy when I see one of the older aircraft waiting at the gate! Unfortunately, the first batch (EI-CSA-CSE I think ) are beginning to leave the fleet this autumn….

Great shots Dan.

At least you didnt have to wear sunglasses inside of EI-CTA. If you get what i mean:cool:

It’s weird, isn’t it? Ryanair have managed to take a step backwards in seat technology that makes it prefereable to fly in the older aircraft. The new seats offer less legroom and induce headaches by overdoing the yellow. Oh, and there is nowhere to put your magazines now they’ve removed the seat pocket. That they don’t recline is, however, a plus in my opinion.

Cracking photos by the way. Did they manage to sell the scratch cards on the ORK-DUB flight

Day two took us from Stansted – Cork – Dublin and then back to Stansted (Paul flew home to Leeds).

Here’s the first shot of the day onboard EI-DLR, taken whilst turning over my home town of Bishops Stortford. My house is just underneath the wing, and the airport can be seen towards the top of the frame.

And the cabin enroute.

The nice, new and airy terminal at Cork.

As opposed to the old redundant one…

And a nice background of fields and cows.

We then boarded EI-CTA for our flight up to Dublin. Here’s an overview of Cork’s new terminal as we depart.

It was then round to the mounds, although photography was very much hampered by some serious heathaze. Here’s what did turn out:

After a couple of beers in the terminal it was time for my final flight, which happened to be EI-CTB wearing the ‘Say NO to BA Fuel Levy’ titles.

Here’s a wingview on departure from DUB, you can see the airport below the wing.

And then to top off a great couple of days, I was treated to this fantastic sunset somewhere over the Irish Sea…

I hope you enjoyed this, I tried keeping photos to a minimum so as to not break the server! The next thread you’ll see from me is from my recent trip to Arrecife/Lanzarote, where I have just returned from for my 11th time!
