Actually mate I think they do, I’ve been on a type 42 (HMS Glouster) And in the PO’s mess (where we had a couple of beers- two different types reffered to as Green Death or Red Death) there was a lovely Blue carpet.

I have had a tour on a Type-23 frigate. They look very modern and nice inside. Although I believe they do not have these nice red carpets during a trip or training… 😀

Sev: hahahahahaha glad you like it mate, I agree Jonesy get your kid off that ship 😉

Warship: Thanks mate they look really nice, would love to get a look around inside one of them, perhaps the RN could do what the RAN has done inrespects to virtual tours of their ships

Hahaha, we’re two of a kind then, I don’t drink either.
Hmm you meant the picture below the Castle class then. And yes, very suspicious… Jonesy, get your kid off that ship!
Errr, how annoying, I keep seeing that kid now, not seeing my first thoughts!!!

Hahahahaha mate it’s been a long time since I drank a drop, but anyway, I took the liberty, here you go, now tell me if you can see him.

His leg is in red pants and he’s wearing a white top!

I guess I picked up on it mainly because it looks like my brother back when he was 4.

hmm, no I’m sorry, you drink too much 😀 You mean in the Castle class ship’s mast? I do see a small white ball that you might consider as a kid’s head…

H88 is HMS Enterprise, a new survey vessel of the Echo class.
The Dutch submarine is one of the Walrus class Diesel-Electric subs. The extension on the sail is a snort exhaust. It has a towed array, for more info you can go and do a google search.
A900 is HrMS Mercuur, the Dutch submarine support vessel.

I’ve seen people here doubting Hazegray.org and nagging about it, but they are working on it. (I’m cooperating). So, yes Andrew Toppan is working for a year now on the World Navies Today section and Sandy McClearn is working on the picture part!. I think soon we can expect some news.

Google,

F803 is the Dutch De Zeven Provincien class ship ‘Tromp’. Pretty isnt she!.

Very pretty; much better looking than the old Tromp. 🙂

Could be Bulwark, that’s why I said, Albion ship (meaning Albion class ship), otherwise I would have said, Albion. Ah well I’m not a nit-picker, nor am I a RN specialist

It is Bulwark as I took the picture, but understand after re-reading your post the question was about the Albion class and not just Albion/Bulwark.

Nope, no new Dutchies and I think the oldest only came into service in ’90, latest in ’94. They aren’t really old tubs if you ask me.

I was interested in seeing the Dutch Sub there mate, are there any plans in the dutch circles to build subs to replace these old tubs?
