I don’t know if it will interest anyone.
I was looking at Tennents in Leyburn earlier today and there is a photo album in tomorrows sale (25Th May 2012)with loads of photos from Shorts at Rochester of flying boats being built with some interesting ones of wing structures and fuselage builds, others from Westlands with Wapatis on floats and wheels and a few others of some monoplanes from the same period.
Sorry to be a bit vague time was short. it’s lot 322 http://www.tennants.co.uk/Catalogue/Sale215/Page33.aspx
There’s a nice model of a JU89 in the same sale.

That’s a shame Allan, hopefully they might see the light of day again

Ah well – it went for more than my bid but thanks for highlighting it.
The difficulty with bidding remotely is not seeing the item and being too cautious with the bid. I hope the new owner enjoys them

Somebody call . . . .?
That might well be interesting if there are Short Bros photos in there. I used to go to some Tenants auctions but live too far south these days. Tempting.
