Had my second flight this year, and the first flight in a historic plane for over 5 years. The plane was a real beauty. One of two DC-3s from the Dutch Dakota Association.
The flight was from Laarbruch/Niederrhein/Dusseldorf West/Weeze (take your pick, I lost track). This airport celebrated it’s birthday today. Thereby conveniently forgetting that prior to opening its passenger terminal it had already been an RAF airbase for years. Ooh well.
Some of the other visitors to the airports party. The Ryanair was obviously a regular flight. As can be expected from a “Ryanair Airport”, it is rather remote, simple and small but surprisingly modern.
