Shouldn’t Windows 98(or earlier) be on the Historic Forum !!! 😉 :diablo:

Why that’s so old it ought to be called “Stained Glass Windows (18)98” !

For resizing with ease, download www.irfanview.com and get back to me…

I don’t think that works if you have Windows 98 (or earlier)….. but I may be wrong.

Even simpler is the PIXresizer program 🙂 . Google it, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Like the other devious characters on here I also use the email method but of course one hasnt much control of the final file size, I did download the PIXresizer as Denis suggested and it is really simple(even I can use it!!)
Thanks Denis I will use that when the email file is too small:)

Try this.

I use photobucket.com for all my photo’s to be posted on forums.

It’s easy and it does everything for you including re-sizing.

Open up an account at www.photobucket.com and load your pictures there.
When you want to place a picture on the forum just cut and paste the IMG code (bottom one) into the post.

Your picture will appear and you keep your allocated uploaded images down too.

Hope this helps.

Brian.

Insert the photo into an email to yourself (embedded not as an attachment)

Agree with 692’s suggestion. I don’t even post the email. I right click the attachment before I send it as it has already been reduced.

I tried making it smaller myself once…far too A level!

Send it, open the email, right click and save the photo. Then upload that one instead as it will be auto resized. Simple, effective and quick…..!

You need to make the photo smaller with something like Picas2.
