Hi Guys
Could one of you experts help me out. I am diversifying from listening to ATC and general plane watching to taking photos of planes at Newcastle. Runway 25 is ok but at the top end runway 7 gets you closer to the main terminal. I have seen some great photos on this site taken near the main terminal/runway 7 but after a few reqqy’s near the frieght terminal etc I cannot see any really good vantage points.
Help me out Lads so I can get snapping

Hi mate
When runway 7 is in use, if you go out of the terminal towards the freight village you will see a keep clear sign on the right hand side and a gate. The gate can be opened and then walk to the top of the hill which overlooks the metro and you can get some good shots from there, for example
on approach
on departure
