We went on holiday in September (3-15) which included two nights in Newcastle (one at each end). The weather was hot and sunny, apart from one day.
Photos are in order that they were taken.

After checking in for our flight we went into the departure lounge, where I couldn’t resist this lovely sunrise over the airport. Taken at 6:30am.

Our aircraft, ARJ85 OO-DJL approaches the terminal.

Just after take off.

Flying over Newcastle, flaps retracting.

And again.
After flying over Newcastle it became cloudy and we never knew if we flew over Scarborough or not.

The last full day of the holiday was spent in Brugge.

‘t Zand and the fountain lit up in the evening. We used to go and sit here when we had finished our drinks. We discovered a nice new bar with a stunning beer range.

Simon Stevin Plein. This city is one of the most beautiful I have visited.
And after all that hot weather and travelling, it was nice to go into Cambrinus and have some great beer.

On 11th September we went to Zeebrugge. The train was one of those old red stoptreins and to hear it you would have thought it was a steam train! It was hot in Zeebrugge, and I was glad to get into a bar (Old Steamer) and have a big glass of Hoegaarden. Zeebrugge was also hazy and there was alot of dust but we liked the place and will go back to have a boat trip. I had hoped to see a ferry leaving or arriving but we were too early.

On 12th September we went to Lier.

On Sunday 10th we went to Mons. Hot and sunny again, we endured a potential nightmare of a restaurant before having a look round the city.

We also visited Oostende Airport and had a boat trip.
Our next destination was Veurne.

This is Eupen. The only day we had bad weather was the day when we made the longest journey by train. The ride is very nice, especially when you get beyond Liege going to Eupen. But the mist and rain spoilt this. I loved Eupen, it is a very pretty place and we will go again.

The following day it was hot and sunny again so we went to Oostende.

Our first full day trip was Antwerp on 6th September. We had been to Knokke the afternoon on the 5th but I didn’t take any photos. It was hot and sunny in Antwerp.

The first time I have been able to get photos of the Markt in Antwerp.

We went to Aquatopia, flash photography is not permitted in there. Another time when I wish I could have taken my video camera.
