Photoshopping WW2 pictures

I got in touch with some russians lately. They’re quite handy with Photoshop and gave me this coloured version of Norways Svein Heglund from 331 sqd. Not sure about you chaps experience with Photoshop, but I was taken by surprise at how lovely they made the picture.

I would do my best, but since that isn’t / wasn’t one of our fora I am not sure what you expect of us.

Moggy, the link in my previous post points to the correct page on this site. The ‘forum.airforces’ bit comes from a previous server, it is this same board.

Sorry Moggy, had a senior moment!!!

After posting I realised it might not be one of ours.

I thought I had deleted my post but 😡 50 lines = I must try harder & think before posting, I must try harder……

Sorry for the confusion.

Brian.

Yeah there’s a gazillion web-sites and tutorials on how to do it, all of varying quality.

Just google for “photoshop photo tinting” for a start.

Well obviously. 😀

I just pointed it out here because people might have specific expertise with ww2/aviation coloured photos.

Really?

If I had more time tonight I would dig into it and see what I could find. If anyone finds the thread, link it. I would love to have a go at it myself.

Some where on this forum there is a tutorial from Snapper on how to photoshop old photographs.
