Want to start Gatwick-Phuket Direct
Will add two more weekly flights to LGW-Bangkok by middle of December
Want to serve AMS by March next year
Want to add B747-400
Will add a B757-200 feeder flight from Bangkok to Bali

Congratulations to them. I was seriously expecting their time to be limited and did not expect them to be operating long haul services between London and Bangkok.
I still don’t regret switching my Phuket Air flights in March to EVA Air though… 😀

I heard that they were using ex-KLM 747s.
Indeed.
HS-VAA = PH-BUO … 21848/397 … B747-206B(SUD)
HS-VAV = PH-BUM … 21659/369 … B747-206B(SUD)
And then there was PH-BUU. This plane was painted in full Phuket livery, but in the end Phuket did not take up this plane after all. It is currently parked in Goodyear, Arizona. The reason Phuket did not take ‘BUU is because the owner (not KLM but ILFC) had worse terms then KLM. KLM did own ‘BUM and BUO.

I believe their intention to fly to AMS has already been made official. They have even had some slots awarded, so it seems certain Phuket will fly to AMS.
