PIA FLEET RENEWAL

Does anybody know what plans Pakistan International have with regards to their long haul fleet? I have heard that the lease on their 743 equipment is up soon, and their 742 fleet is old to say the least. I’m interested to find out because this subject crops up from time to time, but nobody seems to know what is going on. If anyone knows anything, I’ll be grateful if you could tell me!

RE: PIA FLEET RENEWAL

PIA had full plans to lease 3 A330s. But Airbus refused to accept there offer. KNow PIA has for long haul as VI mentioned 743, which you can say is there work horse. PIA operates these 3 743s to London, Copenhagen, NY, Bangkok-Tokyo and a few more which i cant remember. The A310 of theres on the Amsterdam sector is a ex-SIA aircraft.

Yeah, I quite often use the 3 digit codes when talking about a particular a/c type. Quite lazy really, but typing 743 is quicker than typing 747-300!

Yep , I think he means that!

My guess is that PIA will start leasing airbus aircraft!

They fly A-310 to Amsterdam now.

RE: PIA FLEET RENEWAL

743? 742? Do you mean 747-200 and 747-300?
