dark light

Pic I took today in the blistering rain!

Drove past LHR this afternoon, in the “brief” shower we had! Pulled up in the perimeter road for 2 mins and snapped this.

Just to say, this was not taken using my new camera… I was finishing a film off in my old one. Hence the darkness!

Anyhow enjoy. 🙂

About 18 months ago I forked out £2.50 for 30 minutes at the top of a short stay car park at Heathrow. To my horror, some tatty woman asked us to leave. I’ve probably told you all this before, but she was smoking at the time too. I told her to act more professionally by “extinguishing” the cigarette and then asking us to leave again.

😀 Cheeky beggar!

You say thats a bargain at Manchester the maximum you’ll pay is £3 on a weekend for as long as you want at the viewing park and it’s cheaper during the week. As its right next to the runway and you can almost reach out and touch the planes its brilliant!

I was there less than two weeks ago myself, Andrew following on from your recommendation a few months earlier. I didn’t realise the price plan for the car park was a new thing and was panicking in case a ticket man came along and wonder why we hadn’t purchased a ticket! It was only when we left that we realised it was free.

Being so close to the airport, I think the parking is a bargain. £5 as a fixed fee for as long as you want.

Great photo.

picky is a word that i think airliners.net should use more often, i have seen some shockers on that site recently.

a330, cheers for the encouragement, i will endeavour to take more photos on work journeys. now i am using digital camera technology it is alot easier.

Is there a Snappy Snaps branch near you ? They do really nice matt prints and can do them in an hour if you want.

Also good just now are Boots who will put your pics on a CD for an extra pound if you take the one hour service. Getting them on a CD is useful anyway wherever you get them developed as it makes it easier to get them on the web.

Belive me I wanna show you it! But the bloody (excuse the lingo) photo developers aint sent my pictures back yet! I called them yesterday to see where they had got to, as I requested that they be delivered on the “speedy service”… yeah right!

They were dispatched on the 12th and the woman who I spoke to siad it could be up to 14 days from that day! So much for the Express delivery service, which I also had to pay extra for!

Ah well heres hoping that they might arrive in the post tomorrow.

And Kev: I think your right, Bad weather follows me around. :p:D

Monster who gives a t*ss what Airliners think… we know your works good, and we will appreciated more than them so dont worry about it.

Cheers all and sorry for the rant.

Andy.

Another nice shot. You seem to have a talent for capturing the more moody images. Either that or bad weather just follows you about. 😉

“brief” shower – it’s been glorious in the rest of the UK!

Good stuff – not often we see the B744 in that Guise!
