Thomas Cook operated in the 1850’s! It was his son John who really expanded the business. I wonder what he might have thought if he knew his company was 100% German owned with 70% belonging to Lufthansa!

Thomas Cook (the Travel agents) have been operating for something like 150 years, now, I believe… so no, I don’t think he’s still alive.

And why would JMC now be bothered when it’s been operating with that name for so long, anyway…

Quite apart from which… with a middle name like that, he must surely have been a Scottish referee rather than a travelagent…

Is Thomas Cook still alive?

And… do you think John Mason Cook is annoyed that all his aircraft and his holiday company are to be named after his dad?

Thanks gents. I must say that they sre probably the 2 very best pictures I have ever seen of our aircraft. Unfortunately I can be certain that neither is me as I didn’t volunteer to do the specific sim training involved required to operate into Innsbruck.

By the way, in case you don’t know the changeover to TCX is now 8 days away and the new callsign is GLOBE. I picked up my new uniform yesterday (much preferrred the old one!).

Too of the best things in a pictures that one can ask for…. an Airlines with one hell of a great livery, and a great location, Innsbruck.

A very, very good choice Kabir! I am currently using an enlarged version of the picture below, also which was taken at INN, for my Wallpaper on my computer.

Thanks Kabir. 🙂
