is this not the aircraft which was bought as a birthday present for one of the Sultan of Brunie’s daughters???? But it was an unwanted present, so was later sold on.

The plane is painted in colours of Royal Jordanian, however not operated by them.
RJ operates only the A320 and A310, not the A340.
As far as I remember, the plane was bought during the Dubai Airshow 2001.
I believe it was previously operated by or for the Sultan of Brunei.
At least King Abdallah can cath up with the other local royalty like the Saudi royal family!
