only 3! – each a/c in the hybrid has a diff c/s!! – some with old AIH tail, some plain blue tails, some with no MYT stickers,, some with MYT stickers on tail, some plain white…

An Air2000 A320 took off not long before you got there in old colours, and about half an hour before that a BY B757 in new colours took off.
MYT seem to have three differenr colour schemes at mo, I think it makes an airline look very amateurish,

One of those MYT a/c was painted from New (G-CLTA) So i suppose they are just go nna repaint em whe they go in for major maintainance, unlike BY and AMM i suppose

Yeah I suppose it is slacking really. Same with Monarch, there’s has been around for just as long, and only 4 painted???
Money perhaps is hampering the repaints? But I wouldn’t have thought so… just can’t be bothered?

According to Jethros the number of a/c painted in new c/s are the following respectively
MYT – 4/48 (UK Based)
BY – 14/32 (UK Based)
MON – 4/24
TCX – 16/30 (Formally JMC)
AMM – 18/36
MYT Just seemed really slack to me to say the liv has been about for around a year now!

I went up to LGW last Sunday, and saw a few BY aircraft, and only one was fully painted in the new colours. Though, now that I come to think of it, I saw on MYT A320 and that was in the new colours. That was the only MYT aircraft I saw that day.
The airline that I think has their whole fleet finished is Air 2000? Monarch still have quite a few to go. But Air 2000, every aircraft from that airline I saw on Sunday, was in the new c/s. A nice one at that. 🙂

no it was always a hybrid – i think there is only about 3 or 4 ac actually in full MYT c/s – a shame to say BY has half their fleet done!

They will be fitted with the douvle-NoseG in India by HAL.

This is the second A320 to depart from our beloved charter airlines. It was only in January of this year, G-OOAD of Air 2000 was taken up by Indian Airlines. Now known as VT-EVR.
