How about this LX Saab I snapped on Friday night, heading up into the clouds?
nb Rainbow on the left… It was much more visible a couple of minutes earlier, but there was nothing taking off to snap in front of it then 🙁

What seems so hard to believe is that the photograph was taken just a few hours ago! But it definitely a brilliant shot.
I best post a few “shocked” smilies too… 😮 😮 😮 😮

That Tail belongs to the former Swissair Asia aircraft, HB-IWN, which operated the route to Taipei. It’s one of the 5 Swissair MD-11’s that haven’t received full Swiss colours, just a sticker over the ‘swissair’ name.
Presumably, they won’t be altered, as the MD-11 is currently being replaced in the Swiss fleet as the A340’s arrive (last MD-11 due to leave the fleet next March)

Whats the MD11 with odd tail

T5.
Notice a basic similarity with another (Northern) European airline who do operate 737’s into BHX twice daily?
There has been speculation on another forum that there may be a reason for the similarity of colour scjeme.

Duo has been created as the result of a management buyout at Maersk. They will be operating on the routes previously operated but they are going it laone. They will no longer be a BA franchisee.
Hope that helps.

It would seem we posted at the same time, but I’m still not convinced by that colour scheme – it looks “incomplete”.
By: T5 - 5th August 2003 at 23:35
Yeah, thanks for that.
The colour scheme shows the web address which I have just checked out – http://www.duo.com/ Just done a quick price check on a flight from Birmingham to Berlin on 5th January 2004. The quote is £65.00 one way (inclusive of taxes). You can pay £244.00 one way and be able to make changes to your booking, have extra baggage allowance, use the Duo lounges and more. To make changes on the £65 ticket will set you back £30 each time!
Surely the aircraft they are using will not be big enough and something like a 737 could be better for them?

Duo= Sh*t c/s!!!! 😀
Duo have taken Maersk over. Im not quite sure on the whole story, someone will be able to explain better than me.

Very nice…
I’ve just been browsing Airliners.net and come across Duo Airways, apparently a new British airline operating the CRJ-700 with a very bland colour scheme. Anyone know anything?

RE: Pic of the night.
Is that the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the British Airways London Eye drawn on the side?
Good pic.
