Matt! wow, what a set of photos, your best yet! so much variety, and the DC-4, im glad you got to see it. I have seen it twice in my life now, once at Biggin hill and once at Fairford.

In the Northeast of Switzerland, right beside the French and German borders.
The Airport’s actually on French territory, with a fenced in road leading to half of the terminal from Switzerland, the other half of the terminal is easily accesible from France, which explains all the AF domestic flights. The Hills in the background of the photos are part of the Schwarzwald, Black Forest, in Germany.
Basically, it’s pretty much in the centre of Europe.
