Pics from interesting Munich vintage aircraft fly-in

On 09-10.07.05 the Flugwerft Schleissheim at Oberschleissheim airfield hosted a vintage aircraft fly-in, unfortunately without any displays except for arrivals and departures.

Highlight of the event was the Messerschmitt Foundation´s BF 109G-6 which made its first cross-country flight for more than 3 years. It has since performed several times at its Manching base and a couple of other small events.

Hi Kenneth,
Thanks for the clarification – trust me on this monitor it’s very pink! Did you get any walkround shots of it? I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to see more of it (and the other a/c there)
Many thanks
James

@James: The Storch – which I can confirm is certainly not pink but rather a quite brownish sand – is group owned and was rebuilt from parts of several ex-RSwAF Storchs. It flew for the first time after its rebuild about two years ago and is hangared in the Flugwerft.

@MikeJ: D-FDME is grounded with engine problems and has flown for quite a while.

What a great variety.

Vintage aircraft flying in Germany is a real challange, not to mention display and warbird flying – great to see such an fascinating group.

Whose is the (VERY pink) Storch?

I don’t suppose that I need to describe all the types, but just in case somebody is wondering:

D-ELYQ is a Klemm Kl 107, the predecessor of the somwhat better known Bölkow 207.

D-EGWP is a Benes-Mraz M1.D Sokol which apparently actually flew with the East German Af, hence the paintscheme.

D-EHKO is a Klemm Kl 35D
