First of all, great to have seperate sub-forums!

And on the Big E, has she come home, or is she heading out?

Some other recent photos from the Enterprise taken over the past week or so (just click on the links):

James Shelbourn’s taken aboard ship over the weekend

Neil Dunridge & Gary Parsons’ shots taken at sea for Air-Scene UK during the JMC

Best regards

Nice pics !

My daughter lives in Gosport – and was telling me on the phone last night that there was ‘a big American carrier’ in the bay.

Naturally I was asking her what it was, but being a daughter, she hadn’t a clue – but promised to find out for me!!!

I have just emailed her with your pics – and told her to get with the program !!!

Seriously though, why does she (the Enterprise, not Alex) still have those catapult arrestors on the bow cats ???

I thought they were only used to launch a/c that didn’t have nosegear launching – such as the KA-3, A-4 etc.

Are there any non-nosegear launched a/c left in US Navy service ??

The Nimitz’s don’t have them anymore – do they ??
