Picture Exculsive 2! First pics of Air Scotland and Snowflake!

Here another two newbies! The Air Scotland one is very nice. And the Snowflake one isn’t as nice as I thought it would be. 🙁

You’re serious????

I guess the Shorts are the opposite of the ATP: technical people always defend them but as a passenger, they are truly awful!

They are the butt of jokes – ask any non-aviation fan about them and you always get “urgh”!

Yes it was Spirit of Sir Freddy after Freddy Laker and was registered G-VMIA. Virgin did also purchase a 200 G-VOYG of the leasing company although both these aircraft were subsequently broken up at Bruntingthorp and Kemble as far as I know.

Here’s a picture of the Highland Express aircraft being scrapped.

blood pressure rising…;)

Sinners the lot of you! Now where did I put my ‘on/off rant’ avatar!

I spent the day at GLA yesterday and saw the Air Scotland 757 looking very smart. Unfortunately the insiders in the industry give it 6 months…

Also the picture of the Highland Express 747 made me smile as I spent many hours working on that aircraft when it joined Virgins fleet.

The ATP is perfectly OK as a passenger!

I think the severe techincal failings of the aircraft have been pointed out a few times however.

i think the ATP is a great aircraft – its differant – i’ll prob get a lot of stick for that due to it’s “Alternative Transport Provided”, or “Another Tech Problem” nicknames

Air Scotland looks alright, snowflake is a bit boring.

With all these new low costs around I think I’ll have to go to Palma or Malaga in the summer to see a few of them.
