Pilot helmet types

hey, how come no one’s ever discussed a comparison between helmets 😀

one of the newer type of helmets.. displays information through the visor..probably strains the neck too with it’s weight.

I guess this is what you say..is called a “standard” western helmet with pull downshaded visor over a clearer transparent one, air supplied through that tube as well as communication

the older Russki suit.. usually worn on MiG-25,23,21 and Su-15 i think. I guess they stopped using it? looks “cooler” than the other helmets though 😀 air does not come through the mouth piece like the previous, instead, it comes from the side tubes

but t he RUssians are now using more of this type.. looks similar to that of the ‘standard western helmet” with the addition of HUD piece that is attached to the regular helmet.. the size of the helmet also seems to be wider than the western types, mouthpice is slightly different.

the crazy looking helmet intended for Typhoon pilots..

Chinese helmet, probably of J-8II pilots.. looks much simpler compared to the former.

Bulgarian pilot with aggressive moustache. helmet same as the Russian one.
