Pilot Officer Eric "Boy" Marrs (Old Faithful Spitfire)

Hello Chaps,
Do you know the code letter and the serial number of P/O Marrs’ Spifire Old Faithful?
On September 30th, 1940 he was forced landed using this Spitfire, one bullet hit on his windscreen and another hit in his petrol tap.
Thanks in advance.

P/O Eric Marrs

Thank you very much for your help.
I know Mr. Burt from The Battle of Britain Historical Society Forum but I do not remember if I made this question to him but I will appreciate your help on it.

Yes, the spitfire looks old, I noticed from the code letters looks small than other pictures from No 152 Squadron and maybe the roundel could be small but P/O Marrs said that this aircraft was the oldest on the squadron.

Thanks in advance.
Best Regards.

A pal of mine, Danny Burt, may have the answer.

He is writing a history of 152 Squadron in 1940 although that was interrupted somewhat by a recent tour in Afghanistan. He is staying here with me this weekend, so I will be sure to ask him. However, I do wonder if the Spitfire in the photo is the aircraft he was flying on 30 September? It certainly seems a lot earlier, judging by the “pole” type radio mast.

Also, the armoured windscreen with its bullet impact mark still survives. I know who has it and it is not too far from here. I will try to get a photo of it for you.
