Pilots of the Bf 109 G-2 "black 6"

I seem to recall Charlie Brown had the most hours in Black 6, just over half of her hours flown IIRC…?

Didn’t realise Cliff Spink flew Black 6? Thought it was only Charlie Brown and Dave Southwood that predominately flew it, with John Allison on occasions, including that unfortunate last flight.

The pilot in the first picture is Charlie Brown.

It looks like Cliff Spink flying the Blair Buchon. He seems to be it’s regular ‘Jockey’, although John Romain also flies it too. Btw, Cliff was also one of the pilots of ‘Black 6’ when it was flying.

The other pilot of ‘Black 6’ was Dave Southwood, whilst the late Reg Hallam made the first post restoration flight of ‘Black 6’ at Benson.

So, the following pilots of ‘Black 6’ were: –

Charlie Brown
Dave Southwood
Cliff Spink
