Pink Lady

Last weekend I was with G-PBYA at the Caslav airshow Tsjeck republic. And was told by the display director that a few weeks a go the French B-17 and 1 ore 2 P-51’s where not far from there for filming. So that means that Pink Lady is up and running again. Is there any one who knows what sort of filming was going on?

I hope the P-51’s keep their markings for Legends, they look superb, perhaps someone has a link to George Lucas and can ask him nicely.
Incidentally, isn’t ‘Janie’ an original Tuskegee veteran?

Nope but Jumpin Jacques is, however it wasnt used for the filming as its owner wasnt keen to damage its new paintwork with a temporary finish. He did fly his P-40 for the filming however and that temporary scheme is still on the aircraft.

Incidentally, what makes you think they are going to Flying Legends?

Anyone know which P-51’s are used in this movie? From UK or Europe I presume?

N167F ‘Old Crow’ from the Scandinavian Historic Flight was also used painted as a red tail for this movie. It has already returned to it’s Old crow markings. I saw Old Crow at the airshow of Albert (france) which took place on the 23rd may.

The one pictured on the ground is captioned as F-AZSB and I know one of them was G-HAEC.
