Wednesday 4th November – I see in my TV guide that Andrew Marr’s “The Making of Modern Britain” tonight on BBC2 at 21.00 includes “…men took to the skies in their magnificent flying machines for the first time…”
Doubt if there will be anything new but might be worth a look.

Mmm – not sure. Marr has a rather idiosynchratic view on things and I do not think he is not a great cherisher of this type of individual endeavour, but I hope I am wronging him. If you watch it let me know – I would happily be proved wrong, but I have not enjoyed some of his previous offerings.:(
