Piper PA28 ground power??

On the right hand side of the fuselage, behind the wing, there is a DC ground power socket.

How can I use that? Can I connect a battery charger there? If so, will a standard charger for cars do the work?

A PA28 is an aeroplane generally on a full c of a. Therefore maintenence and repairs should be done by approved engineers.

If the battery is flat have an engineer take it out and charge it.

If there is another problem, get an engineer to fix it.

Don’t mess with the aeroplane unless you know what you are doing and can get that signed off.

And don’t shove things into recesses that are not expecting to be entered.

it will end in tears.

Is it your aircraft?

If so, you should have the official manual. Might be worth checking in there.
