Here’s a few snaps from the Pirton Summer Fair. OK, it wasn’t exactly Legends but then it was only £2.50 to get in, which I thought was a bargain. I know the quality isn’t great on some of them, but it’s only a compact camera and doesn’t really have the range necessary for aviation photography. Anyway…

Publicity
Hope this works.
Hi Bob,
Maybe a bit more publicity is in order in the local media. I only found out about the event when I started reading NOTAMs on Thursday because I was bored at work.
I did try to get it on Three Counties Radio and although a bit late, it was on the FlyPast and Today’s Pilot websites. We will sort out our own website for next year and I’ll make sure that as many airshow sites as poss carry it
I think you achieved that. I certainly enjoyed it (once I’d dried out – I cycled through the countryside from Luton and got caught in the downpour and covered in mud!)
Glad it was worth it.
Cheers,
Oz

Hi Bob,
I hope more people will come next year as a result!

Our basic aim is to provide a small but high quality, good value show, aligned with the village fete plus a good afternoon out.

Small is Beautiful
Many thanks Oz. It’s the first time we’ve made it onto a forum. I hope more people will come next year as a result!
In spite of the weather all went to plan except for Tracy Martin who got socked in at Lasham.

See you next year

..and it may only be a compact camera, but I’ve taken far worse shots than those on my DSLR all too frequently (:o) – so no need to apologise, I suspect they capture the “flavour” of the event very well.
