Piston Provost detail information required.

Hi all

Can anyone tell us the diameter of the vertical and horezontal tubes which form the structure behind the seats on a Piston Provost please?
Also does anyone have a picture or illustration of the floor in the area around the bottom of the vertical tubes?
And lastly, does anyone have or know of any Piston Provost parts or structure available, absolutly anything considdered.

Hi R&M,

I cannot help you with the dimensions you are seeking, but looking at the photo reminds me that I have two of those seats if you need them.

To be precise, what I think I have are the AS standard design of seat which were then attached to individually designed subframes/mountings for use in many early postwar aeroplanes. I don’t have the seat frames, unfortunately, although I did pass a NOS one to a flyer/restorer many years ago.

Meant to mention this at Newark the other week but forgot all about it!
