Hi, we’re in the process of taking on a Percival Provost and am seeking a number of parts to advance the project. If anyone knows of anything Piston Provost that may be available I’d love to hear. However, the parts we’re after with a degree of urgency are as follows:
Undercarriage legs (or barrels as we have most of the innards we need)
Fuel tanks (wing leading edge)
Fuselage access doors, left and right (possibly the same as JP 3?)
Rotol propeller blades
Wing and tailplane/fin to fuselage fairings
Elevators
Tailcone fairing
Additionally, we need a copy of the parts, maintenance and repair manual for the T1.
If anyone knows of these please let me know. I’m keeping an eye on ebay, and have spoken with Alan House. Does anyone know where any other Provost parts may be found?
Thank you for any help.

Hi Kin, Andrew is on my list of people to hook up with over the next few weeks. I had some T-6 parts off him a while ago and am sure he’ll have some PP parts we can use.

Hello all,
I would recommend having a chat with Andrew Edie of Transport Command Ltd at Shoreham airport as I know he has two Percival Provosts (one under rebuild and the other a donor) as well as a myriad of of spares for them.
Hope this helps,
Kin

I remember seeing 690 back in the early 1980’s, when it was being repaired up in Leicestershire by the late David Mickleburgh.
They exchanged the top fuselage wing spar from XF898 for parts I required for WW388.
I suspect that his vast spares package will have travelled through successive owners.
A good suggestion by Moggy C and well worth a try.

There’s always this as a donor ship. 😀

An additional piece I believe we need is an oil tank. We have a static one to trade. Anyone? Thank you.

Yes, my understanding is that she was imported for rebuild as a complete aeroplane but a better example was later available.

I imagine it was a complete machine when shipped to the US . More than likely some spare parts over there with the guy flying his example

Hi David, yes, not just fuselage. Not much we can use however. A long way to ship it when there isn’t much we can use there, but a good thought.

There is a derelict fuselage in the US on the eastern seaboard
