Let’s hear it from all you proponents and opponents of pollution :
Toxic pollutants kill at least ten thousand annually, study says.
There’s a new fear of flying: You’re more likely to die from exposure to toxic pollutants in plane exhaust than in a plane crash, a new study suggests…

😀 so, in short, another typical National Geographic story! And to think how addicted we were to those glossy, yellow treasures which dropped on to the doormat every month. How much has changed……..:(

The most common causes of death due to air pollution are cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, including lung cancer, according to the UN World Health Organization.
Yes, two causes of death almost unheard of except for pollution and which every one of us does everything in our power to avoid by taking lots of exercise and certainly never smoking!
I’ll hazard a guess that the deaths from aircraft pollution are less than the deaths caused from pollution caused by the manufacture of all those plastic tops and stirrers that you get every time you buy a hot drink…
…but the world cannot function without those! 😀

Do we really set much store by this research based on estmates of this and two different computer models making predictions from ther information fed to them? And so what? 8,000 deaths is a fraction of deaths from a dozen other causes.
