In between the heatstroke, trench foot and Merrydown there were aeroplanes at Glastonbury again. Hidden up in Trash City was an Andover fuselage, wings/tails off ‘something big’ and some impressive kit cars made from cowlings and fairings. It was a tight squeeze getting in through the cabin window but gave an interesting vantage point on the proceedings. The cockpit was pretty much stripped, decorated with string and sprayed gold. A little panel came off in my hand and as nobody seemed to mind I’ve saved it for posterity.

It is a RJ/RJX cockpit. There is also an RJ/RJX fin there as well.

The fourth pic with the nose art looks like a BAE 146 cockpit. Should know as when I was doing my training for my degree, i had the great pleasure of crawling in the hatch that is open behind the lady in the pic to put a locking pin in to lock the throttle closed.

They’d chopped off the back end where the serial would be and there was nothing visible in the cockpit so no idea, although judging by the ironing board and manequin inside it was the same one as last year.
