Boy I agree. I would never have guessed, at a quick glance, that this has a Merlin in it. Infinitely better.

Well, yes and no!

The nose was recontoured during its last rebuild to more closely resemble the DB-engined ‘109G, while still retaining the Merlin.

It’ll look a bit like this – although not sure what scheme they’ll be going with for it.

Shame the Spanish did not make the Buchon look like this from the start…much better appearance and not dissimiliar to a BF109G

Thanks for that Daz…Buchon with a 109 prop boss, am I seeing that right?
