I think it was last Friday at about 5.30 to 6pm I saw a Spitfire on a trailer passing along the ring road in Walsall heading East. Any idea whose it might have been? I thought I’d seen Graham Adlam write that he was at Ipswich at the weekend, might it have been his?

That’s a big access panel for the radio set, I know the old valve radios were large, but that looks as though a complete radiogram is fitted; does the turntable play ok when taxiing?
😀

I know it was spotted heading in the wrong direction, but considering how many plastic Spitfires travel around these parts, I wonder if it’s anything to do with this forthcoming event at Cosford? Long shot I know, but maybe arrived really early on site 😀

Did it look like this ?

Me running the engine (props frozen, high shutter speed) in Grahams spitfire at Waddington 2010. I recommend it to anybody who gets the chance 🙂
