Hello all, i’am asking for your help in finding a nose for the Canberra WJ775 B6 mod we are restoring , as you can see from the pic below. There are 10 clip fittings are the nose of 775.

I have seen pictures of her wearing this nose…..as seen on Bills T19

She had this nose cone when she was with 51 squadron.
If anyone can help with finding a nose for this great Canberra or have seen one at a muesum that is’nt needed please get intouch;)
All the best Matt:o

Do any of the “glsss” noses survive (unattached to aircraft) ?
If so, are any for sale?
Not that I would pay what the owners probably want for them, but it might make a nice bit to have. 😀
Sure do, they survive in reasonable numbers. We on the WT333 team have a boxed new one available, feel free to PM if interested, they do fetch reasonable money 😉
There is actually a used one on a certain auction site at present in fact, currently at £60. They are a surprisignly large item though, be sire to make space in your shed!

There was a front section and cone at Brenzett, which used to have a complete aircraft. But whether it is what is required or is available I do not know.

Nice find!
As someone once said to me “never give up – you never know what is out there.”

Following RAF Upwood’s 1940’s event i had the great pleasure in meeting a chap called Vince Bateman, we got talking about the 2 Canberras and he then stopped me in my tracks and said “i have a nose cone in my garden” my jaw dropped to the floor and i got all excited and thought i just wonder if it could be the right one for 775?
Any way we were very lucky as Vince kindly donated the nose cone to our Canberra cause ………… we went and picked it up that week and found it was a T4 nose cone and in very good condition , he said that he had bought it from a farm auction a few years ago.
Now WJ775 in her VERY early days had this nose on, but as she has the long nose in her final days with 51 squadron we will keep hunting on for the correct nose for that peroid.
If any one knows where there is a needle or blunt nose cone and they want to swap for a T4 nose cone please get intouch.
The T4 nose is now under cover all oilled up and will go on displays when ever we take the Canberras out.
All the best Matt;)
