It’s a bit of a secret, but Allied Air Day is taking place on The Hoe on the 3rd September [click]. There will be other attractions there too, and a memorial service/event.
On the 5th & 6th we have Navy Days in Devonport [click], which has a naval airshow on both days. This probably isn’t so much of a secret.
So quite busy here next weekend.
I trust EVERYONE will be attending 😮

Due to poor weather yesterday, the Spitfire and King Air didn’t attend. The american F15’s turned out to be a singleton that made a fast approach and turned for a second pass, then disappeared.
The Reds did appear and managed a high display – a gap in the ever present clouds right over the sound appearing at precisely the right moment.
I watched the display from behind Stonehouse Barracks, but I didn’t get anything useful or unusual on my camera.
Navy Day’s short one hour display takes place at 13:30, this afternoon, so I’ll be going over on the ferry to get a better view in an hour or so. It’ll be repeated at the same time tomorrow, too.
