I’m so disappointed, I won’t be able to afford to go to many airshows this year – if any – and this was probably the only event I’d have been able to see.
🙁 🙁
I’m also disappointed for the team and organisation responsible for putting it together, of course, as I’m sure they put a lot of work into it.
Apparently it was due to a sponsorship problem.
There will be a Tonka flashing around The Hoe at 1pm on the 31st, though. It might look a little bit like this one, from the 4th day of 2002’s airshow.

Well, here’s Plymouth’s Tonka display for 2006! I really think the Allied Project deserved better, but beggars can’t be choosers…
Sorry about the quality, but it was quite hazy, although sunny, and Tornado’s can easily use more sky than they might imagine they do. Plymouth Sound is quite a large arena – much more so than most airfields, so you couldn’t describe the performance is being particularly intimate. It wasn’t even particularly loud!

Actually, if anyone in Plymouth is going to Cosford, Kemble, Yeovilton and/or Culdrose this year could I possibly steal a lift. I promise to reciprocate in less lean years.
