Very nice she looks too Baz. Incidently I think I am correct when I state only One Irish pilot flew with us in the Battle of Britain.

I see nothing much changes round here LOL

It is quite obvious that veeone did not wish to demean the polish pilots of WW2…her comment was very obviously aimed at modern hang glider hooligans flouting common sense and regulations.

It was a very obvious cheap shot by Lance 🙂

Personally I always try to keep things in perspective…

So impressed with Poles fighting in the RAF, I painted one of my Spitfires to represent 308 Squadron. Without the Poles ( and our other allies ) I’m pretty sure some jackboots would have trampled the SSSI you talk about.

Not as many as there were Poles Jim.

As for commenting on the boorish behaviour of others wasn’t it VeeOne who found themselves on a short sabbatical for infringement of the rules of this forum?

Lance, You forget one thing, those Pilots were REAL men, not idiots who hung onto kites for a kick, (In the head preferably), and as they say, “A picture paints a thousand words.”

Guess how many Irish Pilots flew in the Battle of Britain?.

This has got to be a joke. The Polish are criticising us?

I paraglide off of Wiltshire hills. We have trouble all the time with Polish young men who try to fly on the hills without training or insurance. They ignore site rules (long-term agreements with landowners and farmers) putting our flying sites at risk. They land on restricted SSSI areas and in cropped fields causing the farmer crop damage.

And we all get the blame for what these Polish anarchists do in the air. I have seen them fly directly into a hillside and try to land downwind. God help British aviation if they ever get experienced enough to climb to cloudbase in a thermal and go cross country. No pilot will be safe. No aerodrome ATZ or CTR will be safe. Only one of maybe 8 Polish paraglider pilots I have seen and met have proper training or respect for Britain and its airspace and rules. So screw you Polish!

Now if we were of a certain faith, we could take exception to this ‘cartoon’ and issue a ‘what’s it called’ termination threat? 😀
