Our son recently visited his girlfriend’s parents at Lesko up in the mountains near the south east border of Poland and reports seeing an old aircraft, which was in use as a restaurant, by the roadside en route from the airport at Krakow.
Can anyone pinpoint the exact location and provide the type and identity?
I am sure I have read of other aircraft/restaurants in the past and would be interested to learn of their current status and whether there have ever been any in the U.K.

On July 16, 2004 I found this Tu-134 snackbar (OK-AFB) in front of the the airport/airbase near Piestany, Slovakia: http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=48.611108&lon=17.833494&z=18.1&r=0&src=ggl

On an aviation trip to Romania in 1999, our coach stopped at this cafe on the road to Brasov.

The aircraft is a Soviet Li-2 – licence built DC-3.
I don’t know if it is still there…..
I don’t remember an aircraft restaurant in Poland – but we did detour to a small village near Krakow to see a Yak-23 monument outside a shop….
