Just got back from a brilliant fly-in at Popham. They were running out of space on the ground and when “Chris the radio” came into the clubhouse after he had finished he said there were 450 logged movements.
We had Moths, Moth Majors, Tiger Moths, Argus, the Wicko was there at the start, Cessna’s, a Stampe or two, Doug Gregory came in his Se5, Popham-based Staggerwing went off to Alderney and I flew a total of four times in the Dearwings.
It was a really good day and the weather was great.
And it was my birthday.

I may have even served you as I nipped behind the counter to help out when it got very busy.
I didn’t get to see most of the aircraft as I was parked nest to the Antonov.
