Thank you for your responses. It is POPULAR FLYING ( June & July 1936 editions) I am trying to track down. The magazine was published by W.E.JOHNS (author of the BIGGLES books) in the 1930s. It was a UK publication. Any help gratefully received.

I trawled through ‘completed listings’ in advanced search on ebay.com and June/July1936 came up twice but there’s none in current live listings. Google launched this excellent project with an incomplete set but obviously aren’t obsessive enough to fill in the gaps…trying to find out why would be impossible …they are unapproachable. I thought this would be an easy one since Google has posted all the old copies of Popular Aviation/Flying online.
But the summer issues of 1936 are missing from their archive. Odd.
