About 20-30 misn ago, what looked to be a Lufthansa A300 flew over here, with its undercarriage down already! Given the fact i live about 25 miles form LHR, thats very early for any aircraft to have their wheels down, is it not?
The engine noise was exceptionally loud too. Though this aircraft did follow the normal flight path that they take over where i live. I had it in view after it flew over here for at least 7 mins+.
If anyone knows, or heres anything, let me know. 🙂

Has got to be scheduled to land in LHR, don’t think LH would schedule A300’s to Dublin or Scotland.

Yes they do, using CRJ’s.

I flew on LH A300 D-AIAU from LHR to FRA in April. The a/c was very loud!! and the f/a bit my head off (almost literally!!) when I asked politely for a glass of water!!
That LH A300 seems very strange indeed!

The A300s come from FRA most of the time, I have spoken to Andy about it already and am similarly confused, we will find out soon enough what it was though…

After looking on the BAA website, I can’t find any delay on any other aircraft arriving or departing Heathrow. Was the aircraft from Cologne and did it have the flight number LH4782? It’s even landed 11 minutes early!
