Whilst many Luftwaffe types (Bf109, Ju-52, Si-204, etc) flew on with other air arms after the war and even remained in production, the Fw-190 seems to have disappeared relatively quickly. As far as I’m aware, only France made a very half-hearted attempt to build any. Was this simply because many of those other types were already in production outside Germany?

Whilst I’m a huge fan of the 190, compared to other aircraft of the allied nations, which in such plentiful supply postwar, it’s no wonder they went with the allied option.
