I have been contracted to assist with the rebuild of an ex-Luftwaffe Dornier Do-27 but have some difficulty with the air force markings. Can anyone with details as to drawing out the dimensions and proportions of the Maltese Cross as applied to the fuselage and wings?

Can not help you with that, aa, but there is a thread in a German Forum with lots of pics of Do 27 and Do 28. But it´s in German only, and you have to log in to be able to see the pictures.

Yes – indeed:) The details of the dimensions and radii will be very useful indeed, as well as the colour specifications for the Federal German flag.
Thank you very much, Wieesso!

What German book You have ? Is it “Flugzeug Profile #2 Dornier Do-27” ?
Yes – that’s the one. I have also obtained the Air Britain production list publication – but that too is of relatively minor use in this regard.

Yes, the Do-27 is to be re-painted much like in the image. I have a plastic model kit plan, an old Aviation News article and a thin German language book on the type to help me so far but scaling up drawings on such a small scale to full size leaves too much to error.
A copy of the original colours and markings three view drawings would help tremendously but failing that anything accurate would be welcome.

Maybe a pix might help.
