This was in the media a couple of days ago. From The Times Online:
Playful Boo Boo’s painful delivery
Boo Boo is a cat with an unfortunate penchant for postmen. On the last occasion that she attacked the hand pushing letters through the box,she drew so much blood that it stained the front door
The postman, John Blackburn, left a note apologising for the mess. But it was accompanied by a letter from the Royal Mail warning John Davies, Boo Boo’s owner, that deliveries to his home in Cardiff would be suspended unless he kept the cat, and her kitten Yogi, under control.
Mr Blackburn, 57, said that he had had enough. “The last time blood was dripping over other letters in my bag. Then the cat jumped up on the windowsill and looked out at me as if to say, ‘Got you that time’.” Mr Davies, 62, said he could not understand the attacks. “They are both really well-behaved cats, although they are very playful.”

Mmm………interesting. In the photograph of the door we see a standard letter box flap which opens upwards from the bottom. The postman then pushes the letters underneath the flap. I would presume this is when the cat attacks. If so, why would there be blood on the outside of the letterbox flap? Surely it would rub off his hand on the inside of the flap?
The cat in the picture, “ahhh, lovely pussy cat.” Just look at those eyes. There’s a cat in my street with an angelic look on his face, until you see the eyes. Wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. He sits in the street, in the middle of the road, licking his various appendages and shows absolutely no fear of traffic, he only moves when he’s ready.
