Have just seen a photo of what appears to be a full size flying reproduction of a Potez 63 under construction.
Anyone got more details?

Well John is working using the original blue prints provided by the “Musée de l’air” in paris; the era of that Potez is “the thing” behind that idea, the Potez was well known during the “Campagne de France” against Germans, and i wonder what would be such an airplane if fitted and strong enough to be fiited with RR engines !!
John and his wife Nicole are linked anyway to that era as they are the ones taking care of our best ace alive “Marcel ALBERT” who was one of the main pilots of the “Normandie” squadron in Russia. John painted his personnal yak with Marcel’s colors and they give everyday care to Marcel ALBERT !!!
That is to say that John not only build yaks and a potez, but he and his wife give their time to one of our best example of WWII fighter pilot .
I will post something about that subject soon, because Marcel ALBERT used to fly in UK in 1941 and his flightlog is very interesting ….

Should not and will not denigrate the effort and work involved, but that is not a pretty plane. Has it got some significance to the builder?

Any drawings he is using or is this a look alike (if it is , it’s an incredibly excellent one)
People like him who pursue dreams into reality are rare.

Will it be at Legends ?

He might install R985, less power than the original rhone engines, but the airframe is now lighter than the warbird…so ratio should be approximately identical…

Thanks for those yakman. Any idea what engines he’s planning to install?
